About We Rock the Spectrum Midland, TX
Hello! We are Lisa and Eric Bediako, proud parents to three wonderful children: Philip, Lyman, and Erica.
Our journey into the special needs community became deeply personal when our oldest son, Philip, was diagnosed with autism at the age of five. Like many families, we were suddenly navigating a world of therapies, appointments, and learning how best to support our child’s unique needs.
To give Philip the greatest opportunity to thrive, we made the life-changing decision to move our family from Arkansas to Midland, Texas, where he could access better therapy resources and support services. Along the way, while attending therapy sessions with Philip, we met so many
incredible families, each with their own stories, challenges, and triumphs. These experiences opened our hearts and gave us a deeper understanding of the need for safe, inclusive spaces for children of all abilities.
Through this journey, Lisa felt a strong calling to create a place where children can truly be themselves, where they are accepted, celebrated, and supported and where parents can feel comfortable knowing that all of their children are welcome just as they are. When she discovered
We Rock the Spectrum, it immediately resonated with our family’s values and vision.
We Rock the Spectrum is more than a business to us; it is a mission. It is a place where children of all abilities can grow, play, and build confidence, and where families can find community, understanding, and support.
